This is a very fine McCarty pottery vase with lid adorned with a frog. It measures 7 1/2 inches tall with the lid on and is approximately 5 inches in diameter at its largest width. It is a vintage item produced in the Mississippi river delta at the studios of Pup and Lee McCarty which was founded in 1954. This lidded vase has a mottled "nutmeg" glaze, signed on the bottom and presented in perfect condition with the natural craquelure of age. It is priced at $185.
